Changing States

Changing the state of a problem or message in the Dependencies Report window helps you focus on the issues that require your attention.

To change a problem or message state:

  1. Right-click a problem or message in the Problems and Messages pane to display a context menu.
  2. Choose one of the following:
    • Set State > Confirmed if the selected Problem or Message needs to be fixed but has not yet been fixed.
    • Set State > Fixed if the selected Problem or Message needs to be fixed and has been fixed.
    • Set State > Not a Problem if the selected Problem or Message does not need to be fixed. This is the initial state for informational remark messages.
    • Set State > Deferred if the selected Problem or Message needs to be fixed at a later time, but has not yet been fixed.
    • Set State > Not Fixed if the selected Problem or Message still requires investigation.
  3. Repeat for other problems or messages in the Problems and Messages pane.

Outcome: The Intel Advisor changes the state of the selected problem or message in the Problem and Messages and the Code Locations panes.
