Intel® C++ Compiler 16.0 User and Reference Guide

To start the Performance Guide, do the following:
Start Visual Studio* and open your C++ solution.
Right-click your solution and select Start Performance Guide.
The tool opens two new windows in Visual Studio*. You can control placement of both windows.
In the Performance Guide windows, shown above highlighted in yellow, have been positioned to reflect user preferences.
The Workflow window, which initially appears in the same area as Solution Explorer, shows the steps in the Performance Guide workflow. This window, shown at the lower left, keeps track of completed steps and provides an easy way for you to navigate through the workflow.
The Guidance window, shown at the lower right, displays information about each step and provides instructions for completing the step.
This window also provides buttons to automate the current step when possible. A series of Next buttons allows you to move through the workflow.
Using Context-Sensitive Help
As you proceed through the Performance Guide, you can view additional information on certain dialog boxes and windows using context-sensitive help.
To get an overview of the active pane or window, press F1.
To get help on the active dialog box, press F1, or click the ? button in the upper-right corner of the dialog box.
