Causes the preprocessor to send output to stdout, omitting #line directives.

Preprocessed source files are output to the compiler.

Description

This option causes the preprocessor to send output to stdout, omitting #line directives.

If you also specify option P or Linux* OS option F, the preprocessor will write the results (without #line directives) to a file instead of stdout.

To preprocess to stdout omitting #line directives, enter the following command:

On Windows* systems:

icl /EP prog1.cpp prog2.cpp

On Linux* and OS X* systems:

icpc -EP prog1.cpp prog2.cpp  // with EDG compiler

On OS X* systems:

icl++ -EP prog1.cpp prog2.cpp  // with CLANG compiler
