Intel® C++ Compiler 16.0 User and Reference Guide

Overview: Heterogeneous Programming for Intel® Graphics Technology

This topic only applies to Intel® 64 and IA-32 architectures targeting Intel® Graphics Technology.

For Windows* and Linux*, the Intel® compiler includes language extensions that simplify writing parallel programs that can offload sections to run on the processor graphics.

Execution begins on the host CPU and, based on user-defined code, some sections are offloaded to the target.
