Intel® Fortran Compiler 16.0 User and Reference Guide

Using Intel® Performance Libraries

The Intel® Fortran Compiler comes bundled with the Intel® Math Kernel Library (Intel® MKL), one of the Intel® Performance Libraries.

To access the library: using the Libraries > Use Intel Math Kernel Library property.

  1. Select the project and open Project > Properties.

  2. In the left pane, go to Configuration Properties > Fortran > Libraries.

  3. Set the Use Intel Math Kernel Library option to one of the following from the drop-down menu:

    • Parallel: Use parallel Intel® MKL libraries.

    • Sequential: Use sequential Intel® MKL libraries.

    • Cluster: Use cluster Intel® MKL libraries.

For more information, see the Intel® Math Kernel Library documentation.

Optimization Notice

Intel's compilers may or may not optimize to the same degree for non-Intel microprocessors for optimizations that are not unique to Intel microprocessors. These optimizations include SSE2, SSE3, and SSSE3 instruction sets and other optimizations. Intel does not guarantee the availability, functionality, or effectiveness of any optimization on microprocessors not manufactured by Intel. Microprocessor-dependent optimizations in this product are intended for use with Intel microprocessors. Certain optimizations not specific to Intel microarchitecture are reserved for Intel microprocessors. Please refer to the applicable product User and Reference Guides for more information regarding the specific instruction sets covered by this notice.
