The Select Process dialog box helps you easily identify a list of currently available processes to attach to with the Intel® VTune™ Amplifier.
To access this dialog box:
Click the
Configure Project button on the toolbar.
The Choose Target and Analysis Type window opens with the Analysis Target tab open by default.
Select remote Linux (SSH) target system type from the left pane and specify SSH connection details in the right pane.
Select the Attach to Process target type from the drop-down menu in the right pane.
The Analysis Target tab is updated with the configuration options for this type of analysis target.
Click the Browse button next to the PID field.
The Select Process dialog box opens.
The Select Process dialog box displays a list of processes currently running on your remote Linux* system and provides the following data:
process name
PID
command line argument used by the process
When you select a process to attach to for analysis and click OK, the VTune Amplifier automatically adds its data to the Process name and PID fields in the Analysis Target tab.
