The Select Package dialog box helps you identify Android* packages installed on the attached device and select a package for analysis with the Intel® VTune™ Amplifier.

This functionality is provided only by the Intel® VTune™ Amplifier for Systems.
To access this dialog box:
Click the
Configure Project button on the toolbar.
The Choose Target and Analysis Type window opens with the Analysis Target tab active by default.
From the left pane, select the Android device (ADB) target system type.
In the right pane, specify an Android device attached for analysis.
From the right pane, select the Launch Android Package target type from the drop-down menu.
The Analysis Target tab is updated with the configuration options for an Android application.
Click the Browse button at the Package name field.
The Select Package dialog box opens.
The Select Package dialog box displays a list of Android packages (*.apk) currently installed on the device targeted for analysis and provides the following data:
application name
package name
debuggable attribute
application type
Note
Make sure your target Android application is debuggable (android:debuggable="true") but APP_OPTIM is set to release in your Application.mk to enable compilation with optimization.
When you select an application for analysis and click OK, the VTune Amplifier automatically adds its name to the Package name field in the Analysis Target tab:.
