Dialog Box: Project Properties - Source Search

To access this dialog box:

Use this dialog box to specify one or more source search locations.

Note

When using the Intel Advisor GUI, no source locations are automatically populated after you create a project, so you must specify one or more new rows (locations) so your application's annotations will be found. You can view the Annotation Report to verify that all your project's annotations have been found.

Search Directories

  • Add non-standard directories to the list.

  • View the directories currently in the search list, including their search order.

On a row containing Add new search location, browse for directories to include in the search list by clicking the . You can also type directly into this row.

Change the search order of the selected directory by moving it up or down. To select multiple rows, use the Ctrl or Shift keys.

Delete a selected directory row (or rows).

Search recursively check box

Specify whether all specified search directories should have their subdirectories searched. To use recursive search, the lines must provide only a directory name and omit a file name. Using a recursive search for multiple directories may slow processing and could lead to unexpected results.

Exclude the following files:

Specify the file mask and/or file names to be ignored (skipped) from the specified search directories.

Mask column

Specify one or more file name mask patterns to be skipped, using wildcard characters, such as an asterisk (*). For example, you can skip certain file suffixes.

File column

Specify one or more files to be ignored, expressed using an absolute path.

To delete a row, use the icon.
